What is the Fastest Way to Get Rid of Acne?

Methods to Get Rid of Acne Quickly |
If you're anything like me, then the most frustrating part of dealing with acne isn't so much the acne itself, but how long it lasts. I wouldn't mind the little buggers nearly as much if they would just find a way to exit my face (or body) more quickly!
Well, over the years I've come up with a few techniques, and learned about several products that can help you get rid of acne more quickly. Let me share some of these things with you.
Techniques that Can Help You Get Rid of Your Acne More Quickly
I'll keep this section short, and just basically list all of the home remedies I've tried (with mixed results) to make my acne go away more quickly:
- Benzoyl Peroxide
- Lemon Juice
- Vitamin E Oil
- Cocoa Butter
- Aloe Vera
- Eating Healthy
- Benzoyl Peroxide
- Drinking Lots of Water
- Spirulina supplements (and other algae-like super foods)
- Ice on the Pimples
All of these remedies I've tried have had mixed results. Different things work for different people -- for me, my diet has a profound effect on my acne. Drinking lots of water especially seemed to help.
But I won't waste your time with the same old home remedies that you've probably read elsewhere... let me get on to some products which you may not have heard of.
Products that Can Get Rid of Acne Fast (In Theory)
It seems like just about every acne product out there claims to work quicker than the next. If we just believed them all, all of us acne sufferers would have gone bankrupt a long time ago.
Still, there are a couple interesting products I'd like to point out to you:
Zeno Acne Clearing Device:
This thing is a really neat concept. Can you imagine owning a handheld, battery-operated device that allows you to point-and-click to zap your pimples away? Well, that's exactly what the Zeno tries to be.
The Zeno Acne Clearing Device works by using something called "heat shock" to self-destruct the bacterias which feed your pimple in the early stage of the development. Yeah, I don't get it either, but some people love it.
It's definitely not perfect. It's a bit expensive (like most acne treatments), it has to be used on pimples while they are in their early stages, and it can eat up batteries rather quickly. From reading the reviews on Amazon, it seems that people either love it or hate it, there is seldom and inbetween.
If you do decide to try the Zeno Acne Clearing Device, I recommend that you invest in some rechargeable batteries as well, otherwise you'll have a battery bill on your hands (if your acne is anything like mine).
Skin Culture Peels:
It takes too long for your body to get rid of acne on its own. If you're a person who is prone to acne scars, then it's even worse. The scars are the real bad guys, as they seem to last forever (and a day)!
Skin Culture Peel basically "speeds up" the natural process by which your body sheds its skin. It literally uses chemicals to force your top layer of skin to shed itself, revealing your healthy, new skin underneath.
If you're fed up with waiting weeks or months for your acne and scars to completely fade (only for new ones to arrive in the mean time...), then you may want to give Skin Culture Peel a try.
Obviously, the chemicals involved in these skin peels are quite harsh. If you decide to use the peels, make sure that you follow all of the directions carefully! You should be able to get support on the peels at the official website:

I also recommend you read the "Case Studies" on that link above. They have day-by-day stories of people who used the peels, so you can get an idea of what to expect.
Control Your Acne as Much as You Can!
You know what they say -- prevention is the best cure. Obviously, if preventing acne were as easy as the companies make it out to be, none of us could have it. Still, the free "home remedies" can only take you so far, and eventually it might be worth it to find a product or regimen that works for you.
Exposed Skin Care and Neutrogena's Acne System seem to be popular. As the time of this writing, for example, the Neutrogena Acne System has 4/5 stars on Amazon with over 100 reviews.
I hope that this article helped you. Acne can feel like an unfair punishment at times, so it makes complete sense that you'd want to find ways to deal with it as quickly as possible. Good luck! |
